Corrie actress Georgia May Foote was taken to hospital yesterday after she collapsed during filming.
According to the Mirror, the actress apparently fainted on set as she took a break while filming at the soap’s studios. It’s said that paramedics were tending to her for 30 minutes before she was taken by ambulance.
Georgie, who plays Katy Armstrong in the soap, was said to have been admitted to Hope Hospital for a precautionary check-up following her collapse.
The newspaper reports that the actress is now recovering at home.
An ITV insider told the Star: “Everyone was really worried about Georgia. She’s not the kind of person who likes to make a fuss and will always get on with her work even if she’s feeling a bit under the weather”.
Georgia has been playing her character Katy for four years, but recently announced that she will be departing the show.
