Was this a dark warning sign just days before Demi Lovato’s drug overdose?

We're sending our thoughts and prayers to the star and her family.

On Tuesday, Demi Lovato was rushed to hospital after she was found unconscious in her Hollywood home.

The 25-year-old is reported to have overdosed on Heroin however, close friends and family are now claiming that this is untrue and it was a different, unnamed drug.

According to police reports, drug paraphernalia was found in the star’s home and TMZ cites law enforcement that says that Demi was treated with Narcan – an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses – at her own home.

The star is now reported to be “awake and stable”. However, concerned fans are still very worried about the star and believe that her last performance was a “dark warning sign”.

Just a few days ago, Demi took to the stage at the Californian Mid State Fair and when signing her latest track “Sober“, the star forgot the lyrics and ran off stage.

Speaking to the audience she said:

“Sorry that I’m here again,” she sings, before taking an extended pause.

“F*ck! I forgot the words!”

Demi had a relapse earlier this year after six years sobriety. Revealing that her song ‘”Sober” is about her relapse, fans at her latest performance clapped and shouted with encouragement for the star to keep going before she walked off stage.

In her documentary, Simply Complicated, Demi speaks about her long battle with drugs and alcohol and near overdose in the past.

The 25-year-old first took hard drugs at 17. She has said:

“I felt out of control with the coke the first time that I did it,” adding, however, that she grew to “love it.”

The star furthermore has spoken of her fears of overdosing. During what she describes as a two-month “bender” after a stint in rehab, she mixed cocaine and Xanax.

“I started to choke a little bit and my heart started racing. I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, I might be overdosing right now.'”
