“When I look back I feel like it’s going to be funny.”

After winning Love Island this year and going on to win every single viewer’s heart during his time on the show, Davide Sanclimenti is only getting started.

With his own TV show on the way with girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, his first major drop since leaving the villa is his collaboration with boohooMAN.

For anyone who as seen the collection, it screams high class Italian designer and that was not something that was accidental. Joining forces with the brand, Davide wanted to create something he and his friends could wear.

“When I was approached for this idea, I was happy naturally because I’ve been ordering from boohooMAN and shopping from boohooMAN a lot, even before Love Island. When I was prepping all my wardrobe and everything to bring to the villa, I had a few shirts from boohooMAN so when they approached me and offered me to create a collection based on what I like, I could choose the materials, the fabrics, the colours, I was really happy. I looked forward to it and apparently, it has been successful,” Davide told Her.ie

“When we met the first time, they told me about the idea to create something that was inspired by the Italian fashion. It reminds me of Italian culture, Italian vibes and it’s something I really appreciated because it means that they care about me and my origin, my nationality. We wanted to create something that was a mix-match of Italian and English fashion.”

When it comes to his next venture, Davide and Ekin-Su have already hit the road and travelled to Italy and Turkey for a new ITV series, and of course to meet each other’s families.

While Davide couldn’t give much away, one thing is for sure, the classic Ekin-Su and Davide fights are on the cards but unlike in the villa, they make up a lot quicker.

With clips from the series Davide said are guaranteed to make us laugh, he admitted he was worried the show wouldn’t show them the same way Love Island did – the couple we all adored. Thankfully though, he has recalled it to himself and the Ekinde we know and love is there in full swing.

“Both of the episodes end where we meet my family in Italy and naturally introduce all my family to Ekin-Su and we will do the same in Turkey so by the end of the road trip, I will meet the family of Ekin-Su. I can say that it’s going to be really funny because we had fights, a lot of moments where we just diss each other. We had a little of small arguments but we sort it straight away because it was not deep or big problems.

“You know, me and Ekin-Su together are very entertaining people, we’re just being ourselves all over the trip and now when I look back because when I was filming it I was saying maybe we could do better, yes we’re being ourselves but it’s not going to look good but now when I look back I feel like it’s going to be funny.”

“When I was telling my mam or my best friend a few things that happened on the road trip, they were just laughing so imagine when the show’s going to be live and people are going to actually watch.”
