Dead or Alive Frontman Pete Burns ‘Declared Bankrupt’

Pete Burns, front man of 80s band Dead or Alive, has been 'declared bankrupt' according to reports today. The Sun has reported that Pete spent thousands on plastic surgery over the years and this is believed to have left him in dire financial straits. Six years ago, singer Pete, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, had lip surgery which went wrong and he was awarded £450,000 in an out-of-court settlement. At the time, his lawyer said: “Pete's life and career have been severely affected as a result of this negligence. “He required more than 18 months of corrective surgery in Italy to try to remove the product from his lips. “Unfortunately, it is likely he will suffer further flare ups in the future for which he will require further treatment. “However, Pete is relieved finally to be able to put this ordeal behind him at last. It has been an incredibly difficult time for him.”
