She shared a message to her fans.

Two weeks ago, Demi Lovato was admitted to hospital following an overdose. It has been a rocky road for Demi, who has struggled with addiction for many years. And now, the musician has taken to Instagram to share a heartbreaking message to her followers. With no caption, Demi posted a screen shot of a lengthy message:

"I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."

Demi thanked everyone who helped her through, claiming that she would not be alive if it wasn't for the hospital staff.
