Desperate Housewives Star Announces Engagement On TV Chat Show

Actress Vanessa Williams is engaged. The 51-year-old star showed off her beautiful sparkler during a recording of The Queen Latifah Show. Williams, who is currently starring in the stage version of The Trip To Bountiful, met her fiancé, New York native Jim Skrip, during a trip to Egypt in 2012. Williams with her fiancé Jim. Latifah jokes: "Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation with you ladies and gents, but I am blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger". The Desperate Housewives actress was quick to reply, "Oh sorry darling, I got engaged". "I have had a lot of good things happen," she continued, "I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings".
