So sad.

Dragons’ Den star Drew Cockton has been found dead at his home at aged 36.

The entrepreneur secured a £50,000 investment for his candle business on the UK version of the series and ended up having his products endorsed by Paris Hilton and Gemma Collins.

Drew is said to have died “peacefully at home” at aged 36 after appearing on the BBC series last year. Drew had been open about his battle with bipolar disorder on the show.

Drew managed to get a £50,000 investment from Dragon Touker Suleyman after impressing them with his vegan candle brand Owen Drew.

His mother said she is “truly, utterly heartbroken” to announce that her “gorgeous boy” passed away at home over the weekend.

In a post on Facebook, Kate Drew wrote: “We are devastated beyond belief. Life is never, ever going to be the same again. Rest peacefully darling boy.”

Friends and other relatives have since described Drew as a “kind and caring person” who had a “heart of pure gold.”

Drew was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 23, telling the Daily Mail: “I was severely depressed, lost all my hair, had really bad anxiety and had shaky hands all the time.

“My mum could see I was really unwell so got me to see a GP who referred me to a psychiatrist, who diagnosed me with bipolar disorder.

“I was a bit of a zombie at the time so didn’t really feel anything about the diagnosis; I was just existing and it’s all a bit of a blur.”
