Eh…Awkward, Much? Cheryl Cole Wants Her New Man to Meet Her Ex-Husband

You’d think that Cheryl Cole would be doing everything she could to keep her new man, Tre Holloway, away from her ex-husband Ashley Cole, but apparently the singer is absolutely desperate for the pair to meet.

Despite the fact that their marriage was plagued with allegations that Ashley was a love rat, Cheryl has stayed in touch with the footballer since their divorce in 2010 and even invited him to her birthday celebrations last year. And now, she’s eager to get his blessing for her new relationship with Tre.

“Cheryl thinks it might be a good idea for the pair of them to meet at some point,” said a source, speaking to the Daily Star.

“Tre hasn’t kicked up a massive fuss about it but it’s hard for any man if their girlfriend is in touch with her ex,” the source added.

We don’t know about you, but we would definitely understand if Tre flat-out refused to have a chat with Cheryl’s ex, however, according to reports he’s oddly comfortable about coming face-to-face with Ashley. Although, he is not pleased that Cheryl still shares a surname with her ex.

“Tre wants to meet Ashley, he’s intrigued by the man Cheryl was married to and remains in touch with,” said the source.

“Tre also finds it tough that Cheryl has no plans to change her surname, even though it’s Ashley’s,” the source added.
