A new Power Rangers movie is on the way and it’s got an awesome evil villain.
We’re delighted that our favourite 90’s programme is getting a reboot and even better – it’s going to be on the big screen. And now, the evil villain going head to head with the colourful superheroes has been revealed.
The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Elizabeth Banks will play the evil villain in the new movie.
She has been signed up to play the classic Power Ranger character Rita Repulsa, an alien witch who wants to take over the planet.
The Power Rangers themselves will be played by RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludy Lin, Naomi Scott, and Dacre Montgomery, who are relatively new in Hollywood.
The movie is due for release in 2017.
