Huge congratulations are in order for singer Emeli Sandé, who has announced that she is getting married to her girlfriend Yoana Karemova.
Emeli announced the news on Instagram. Taking to her grid, she shared a photo of herself wearing her new ring and wrote: “I said YES!”
Meanwhile, on her story, she posted three new pictures, including one with Yoana, in which she calls the classically trained musician her fiancé.
In the comments section of her post, the pair were met with messages of congratulations and support.
TV presenter Zoe Ball, for instance, wrote: “congrats gorgeous girls”.
Emeli shared that she was in a relationship with her “soul mate” Yoana last year.

In a touching post on Instagram, she also opened up about her sexuality.
“It’s taken me many years to find the strength to be myself,” she wrote at the time. “I’ve struggled for a long time to accept myself as I am.”
“I’m so lucky to have found my soul mate Yoana, she’s such an extraordinary woman! Falling in love with her gave me the strength I needed! Feels so good to be in love and I feel happier than ever.”
She also thanked her fans for being so supportive.
She wrote: “I’m deeply touched by all your messages of love and support. Thank you so much for your acceptance and kind wishes. Feels like a huge weight has been lifted, here’s to a new beginning in truth and happiness.”
In the past, Emeli was married to Adam Gouraguine. The pair divorced in 2014.
Previously, Emeli was asked if she was bisexual by Metro. To this, she told the paper: “I’m not sure what I identify as, but I guess so. I just feel like I should fall in love with whoever I fall in love with.”
