A woman after our own hearts.
If you’re nervous about doing something for the first time the best thing to do is to prepare endlessly, right?
That’s what’s always worked for us and it looks like Meghan Markle has the same approach.
The Duchess landed in Sydney with her husband Prince Harry at around 7am local time (late last night to us) to begin their royal tour of Australasia.
Meghan was seen leaving the airport and getting into a waiting car looking extremely fresh-faced after a long flight from London.
She was carrying two hefty purple folders that royal experts say are notes about the trip.
The couple have 76 engagements over the next 16 days so it’s no wonder that Meghan wants to study before her first royal tour.
Royal commentator Omid Scobie wrote on Twitter that the Duchess always likes to do her homework before any royal engagement.
A somewhat low-key arrival for the Sussexes in Sydney ahead of tomorrow’s start. I’ve often spoken about Duchess Meghan doing extensive homework before engagements and this #RoyalTour will be no different. Check out the two purple binders! pic.twitter.com/FBmNMc1hsB

The purple folders have sparked lots of debate online – some reckon that they represent a PR stunt while others say she was trying to shield a pregnant stomach from view.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex pictured arriving in Sydney earlier. A bit of light reading/research for Meghan on the flight over? Choreographed shot or not, they’ll both no doubt have been doing their homework before starting this tour. #RoyalVisitAustralia #RoyalTourAustralia https://t.co/DeQE5DjqxN

Who matches their outfit to their folders? If Meghan isn’t pregnant I’ll be surprised because that whole outfit/folder scenario looks hella planned. And who’s ever seen a modern royal carrying paperwork at all let alone two folders full?! #HarryandMeghan #MeghanMarkle #RoyalTour

Sydney: Ahhh Meghan carrying a big folder or two isn’t going to help the pregnancy rumours pic.twitter.com/yG9OPTu6s8

Today is a rest day for the royal couple, who will no doubt be trying to sleep off their jet lag before their official duties kick off tomorrow.
