Fans can't stop talking about what Meghan was carrying when she landed in Australia

A woman after our own hearts.

If you’re nervous about doing something for the first time the best thing to do is to prepare endlessly, right?

That’s what’s always worked for us and it looks like Meghan Markle has the same approach.

The Duchess landed in Sydney with her husband Prince Harry at around 7am local time (late last night to us) to begin their royal tour of Australasia.

Meghan was seen leaving the airport and getting into a waiting car looking extremely fresh-faced after a long flight from London.

She was carrying two hefty purple folders that royal experts say are notes about the trip.

The couple have 76 engagements over the next 16 days so it’s no wonder that Meghan wants to study before her first royal tour.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie wrote on Twitter that the Duchess always likes to do her homework before any royal engagement.

The purple folders have sparked lots of debate online – some reckon that they represent a PR stunt while others say she was trying to shield a pregnant stomach from view.

Today is a rest day for the royal couple, who will no doubt be trying to sleep off their jet lag before their official duties kick off tomorrow.
