Ah, god.
If you haven’t seen the video of Prince Harry giving the awkward air kiss to the woman yet, then you must be living under a rock.
… Or you just don’t really care about the affairs of the royal family and whether or not they, on occasion, fail at normal social interactions from time to time.
Either, or.
This video, however, is definitely a video of note due to the fact that people have been sharing it around Twitter loads for the past day or so and that’s definitely the marker of something.
The video in question shows Harry, Meghan, and Meghan’s mother Doria greeting a Muslim woman before Meghan’s cookbook launch.
The three women greet each other without issue, exchanging air kisses on each cheek. It’s all fairly standard behaviour… until Prince Harry arrives.
He bumbles forward and painfully awkwardly mimes hugging the woman even though he knows he’s not supposed to, delivering the most harrowing set of air kisses the world has ever seen.
It’s pitiful – and yet, it’s also somehow endearing.

The awkward air kiss has pretty much been accepted by all who have seen as proof that the royals are, indeed, the most awkward people on the planet.
But also that they, like us, are human – and they, like us, simply do not know what to do with their limbs in unfamiliar surroundings.
