Forget Those Golden Statues, Here Are Our Favourite Famous Oscars

Earlier today film buffs around the globe were sat on the edge of their seat awaiting to hear the 2014 nominations for the Oscars. This year's nominations aren't that much of a surprise, however our resident movie critic is a little devastated that Emma Thompson didn't get a nod for Saving Mr Banks, or the late James Gandolfini for Enough Said, but overall they rolled out how we expected them to. Oscar seasons will dominate the headlines now for the next few weeks and we thought we'd give the golden statue a miss and remember some of our favourite famous men that share the same name.   Oscar Peterson One of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, Oscar, nicknamed the Maharaja of the keyboard sadly passed away in 2007. All of these awards make us feel a little like this...   Oliver Wilde Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde, one of the most famous Irish men in history, and our favourite Oscar, (just don't tell the others).
