Tragic actor Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room at the age of 31 on Saturday.
The star found fame playing Finn Hudson on musical television drama Glee.
This morning, the executives behind the hit show and representatives for the FOX broadcasting company took to the show's official Twitter account to issue this statement to over 2 million followers.
It reads:
Statement on behalf of: GLEE Executive Producers, 20th Century Fox Television and FOX Broadcasting Company.
We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person.
He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
