Generous George: Clooney Leaves Man Confused After He Pays For His Dinner

There are many reasons why we love George Clooney: he’s charming, he’s funny, he’s a total silver fox and, if this story is anything to go by, he’s the most considerate celebrity in the world.

The Local reports that good old George managed to confuse a German man in a posh restaurant in Berlin by paying for his dinner.

The unnamed man ate at the very posh Grill Royal restaurant in Berlin on Friday, but when he went to pay his €100+ bill, he was told that a good samaritan had already footed the costs for him.

The waiter told the man that George Clooney had paid for the meal because he feared that himself and his friends (who were at the table beside the man) had been too loud and had disturbed his meal.

The hilarious thing about this story is that the man didn’t even clock that George Clooney was sitting beside him.

“They had behaved in a very cultivated manner. I was stunned,” said the man, speaking to Bild newspaper about the incident.

The man left his busines card at George’s table so that he could return the favour one day and even when he was chatting to the actor, he didn’t realise who he was.

It was only after he left the restaurant that the man put two and two together and recognized the star.

George is currently in Berlin fliming scenes for his upcoming film The Monuments Men.
