Glenn Close And David Shaw Reportedly Divorce After Nine Years Of Marriage
Glenn Close has reportedly divorced David Shaw after nine years of marriage.
Glenn's rep apparently confirmed the news to New York Post's Page Six, adding that the pair privately announced their plans to separate in the last three months.
A separate insider told the publication: "Glenn and David have been telling friends over the summer they are divorcing, and he'll remain living in Maine while Glenn moves back to New York full-time.
"They've been separated for some time, and things are amicable between them."
David was Glenn's third husband - she married songwriter Cabot Wade in 1969 and James Marlas in 1984.
The pair recently announced their split to friends and family.
The six-time Oscar nominee once opened up to People about her views on relationships.
She said at the time: "Too many women define themselves in terms of a man.
"Men blossom under the nurturing of a good woman, while women don't often get that benefit from a man.
"I think of men and women as two different species. Katharine Hepburn said they should live next door and visit each other once in a while. Not a bad idea."
