Gwen Stefani cuts Blake Shelton’s ex-wife out of pic, photoshops herself in

Well that’s one way to deal with an ex, I suppose.

For many, ex-partners are off-limit topics in relationships.

Bringing up memories and anecdotes of former flames often ends badly for all involved, and there’s always this constant fear that your partner may be tempted to reignate old relationships.

With that being said, pretending like your exes don’t exist isn’t ideal either.

Gwen Stefani, however, has taken a much more direct approach in dealing with relics of relationships past in her marriage.

The singer took to Twitter yesterday and shared a picture of herself photoshopped over her husband’s ex-wife in an old red carpet snap.

In the new image, the Sweet Escape singer stands proudly on the arm of her husband Blake Shelton in the place of his former partner Kaynette Williams.

She captioned it: “#NewProfilePic.”

Some fans though, were unimpressed and felt it was an immature move on her part.

One wrote: “I could see someone 16 or even 20 doing this but Gwen, come on, this is not cool. His past is what made him who he is.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “It’d be one thing if he was originally alone in the pic but removing the ex and putting yourself there?”

Another fan felt that was just light-hearted fun.

“Why does anyone care that it was photoshopped?” they wrote. “She looks cute and he looks dashing.”

Gwen Stefani is Blake Shelton’s third wife. He was first married to Kaynette Williams in 2003. The couple filed for divorce three years later.

Then, in 2011, he tied the knot with fellow country singer Miranda Lambert. The couple were married for four years before getting divorced.

Blake and Gwen started dating in late 2015 after working together on the reality competition The Voice. In 2020, after five years of dating, they announced their engagement.

The pair tied the knot earlier this summer.
