Naya Rivera has reportedly been fired from the cast of Glee after an on-set row with star Lea Michele.
Several news outlets in the US are reporting that the 27-year-old actress, who played Santana Lopez on the show, has been written out of the final episode of the fifth series following a “major altercation” during filming. It’s understood that a feud had been simmering between the two stars for some time, with a source saying that “they’re always icy to each other”.
“Naya is jealous that Lea is the show’s main star…There is a lot of sighing and eye-rolling between them,” they added.
Hollywood Life previously reported that the row erupted after Lea Michele left the set to take part in a pre-arranged Twitter live chat and Rivera complained to producers about the resulting delay with progress on filming.
While the popular show is set to return for a sixth series, it’s understood that Rivera will not be part of the cast.
