Harry Potter’s Marcus Flint looks very different these days

Somebody's been on the Polyjuice Potion

Matt Tate

Another day, another Harry Potter star who has undergone a radical transformation (also known as growing up).

Keen Potter fans will remember Slytherin’s Quidditch captain Marcus Flint. His last appearance in the films was in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – all the way back in 2002 – so if you need your memory jogging, he’s the guy that tried to break the fingers of his opponent when shaking their hand before a match.

Typical Slytherin scumbag, he was.

Still not familiar? Luckily for you, a YouTuber has taken the time to compile a strange but useful tribute montage to the menacing wizard, which features his infamous showdown with Gryffindor’s own Quidditch skipper Oliver Wood.

Flint was portrayed by Jamie Lee Yeates who, just to make you feel old, is now 32-years-old. A picture of the child actor has surfaced on the internet, and it’s fair to say he looks pretty different. There’s certainly no sign of those (definitely, probably real) huge teeth that gave his character such a distinctive look.

We had a quick look at Yates’ IMDb page, and it looks like his acting career has gone quiet since its Harry Potter heyday. We did however find that he starred in a Mr Bean episode in the mid 90s, which sort of sounds like the greatest Pointless answer in history.
