Has Kate Middleton revealed the gender of royal baby number three?

Cathy Donohue

People are convinced.

It’s a bit of stretch but then there’s always going to be speculation surrounding the arrival of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s third child.

The third royal baby is due in April and having looked at the amount of blue Kate has been wearing lately, it’s been suggested that she’s expecting a boy.

As we said, this is a rather far-fetched theory but having looked back over the 36-year-old’s recent outfits, it must be said the Duchess of Cambridge has been wearing a lot of blue.

The concept of blue for boys and pink for girls might be outdated but that hasn’t stopped the question being raised.

Yesterday, Kate recycled a maternity coat from Seraphine, one of her go-to brands when pregnant, for a visit to a mother and baby unit at Bethlem Royal Hospital.

She also wore a blue coat when visiting Roe Green Junior School in London last week and was also spotted in a deep blue dress.

Then, there was the navy blue coat she wore at the beginning of January when visiting London’s Reach Academy Feltham on behalf of her work as patron of mental charity Place2Be.

Oh and if we go way back to her first appearance after the pregnancy was announced, she also wore blue, choosing a blue Temperley dress for a reception at Buckingham Palace.

Could there be something in it? We’ll just have to wait and see…
