Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has undergone treatment for skin cancer for the third time in one year.

The X Men star’s representative confirmed that the Aussie actor was recently treated for his third basal cell carcinoma.

The therapy comes five months after he shared a post-survey update following his second treatment via Instagram, posting a selfie with a bandaged nose. He was initially treated in November of last year.

Speaking earlier this year, the Les Miserables star, 46, said: “I’m realistic about the future and it’s more than likely that I’ll have at least one more but probably many more, which is not uncommon for an Aussie particularly from English stock growing up in Australia where I don’t remember ever being told to put sunscreen on.”

“But the beauty of this is it’s all preventable, it’s just about getting proper check-ups. I can be typical man, a little lazy, I couldn’t be bothered and now I’m not lazy at all.”

Last night, Jackman took to his Instagram page once more, posting a timely reminder to fans to wear sunscreen.

His rep added that the actor is “all good” now.
