ITV has finally confirmed when Holly Willoughby will return to ‘This Morning’.

The presenter has not hosted the show since co-host Phillip Schofield stepped down with immediate effect last weekend.

Holly Willoughby had booked time off to spend time with her family over the midterm break but is set to return to the show in the coming days.

According to ITV, she will be back on June 5th.

Willoughby issued a short statement after Schofield left the popular breakfast show.

She said, “It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience, and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him.”

Earlier this week, reports claimed Holly gave This Morning producers an ultimatum following her feud with Schofield.

A new report revealed that Holly told producers to choose between her or Phillip after the pair’s friendship soured in recent months.

A source told The Times, “Holly made it clear it was her or Phil but he refused to go until he was given something else concrete that he could announce.”

The pair reportedly grew apart after Schofield lied to Holly about his brother’s crimes. Schofield’s brother Timothy was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he was found guilty of 11 sexual offenses.

Holly was reportedly stunned when she found out about Phillip’s brother. The presenter couldn’t believe he would keep something so serious from her.
