Nicki Minaj has slammed ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels and said that he was too needy in their relationship. The couple split recently after dating for 12 years and in a new interview, the Anaconda star said that he didn't appreciate how hard she worked. ''I lost a big part of my life, and one of the reasons was because I was a workaholic. I couldn't focus on anyone else," she said. ''Maybe they needed more attention, and I take care of my whole family. So if I'm gonna choose between working my ass off and giving you, one human being, all of my attention? You might get forgotten sometimes. Not because I don't love you, but because I got the weight of the f***ing world on my shoulders." She also took to Twitter to target her ex, saying ''anything you don't appreciate will be taken. God sees your ungrateful evil soul. I gave and gave and gave. Threatening me? Blackmail? Jump. Let me be happy now.". However, Samuels has hit back at the rapper's claims, stating that he ended the relationship due to a lack of respect from Nicki. "It's not about fame, it's about respect and you've had zero for me the past few years. The zero respect you had for me at home had nothing to do with music. I'm disappointed too... you're doing something to me publicly that the public doesn't know your doing but you're the victim because you're famous... smh."
