She's one of our most talented exports and Imelda May lived up to her feisty reputation this week as she reprimanded a British DJ for asking a rather cheeky question on-air.
May was promoting her new album Tribal with an interview on BBC Radio when DJ James Watt moved on to the subject of her seventeen-year marriage to band member Darrel Higham. Rather than looking for the secret to their successful relationship, Watt wanted to know if the rockabilly star had hooked up with any other members of her entourage prior to settling down.
"Now, I know you married one of your band members. Did you, you can tell me Imelda, did you try them all out? First? And then decide which one?"
However, the Love Tattoo singer was having none of it and responded by telling Watt that he would have gotten a "dead leg or a sore shin for that one" if she was in studio.
