“It Stings”: One Kardashian Sister Opens Up And Says What It’s Like To Always Be Compared

Khloe Kardashian is our favourite K-Clan sister... we're just putting it out there and, naturally, we think she's a gorgeous-looking woman.

But the Kardashian sister says being constantly critiqued about the way she looks "stings". 

In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the 28-year-old said she's "pretty tough".

The 28-year-old said she's a tough girl. 

"I want to say I don’t care, but of course [comments about my body] are going to sting," she said.

"After my father died [Khloe was 19 at the time],I gained a lot of weight, and then I was in the spotlight.

"I was quickly criticised for not being a cookie-cutter sister like Kourtney and Kim. I lost about 30lbs before I did Kourtney And Khloé Take Miami [in 2009].

"I was feeling so good about myself and I was still so critiqued. I thought, ‘Oh, my gosh, if I’m not good enough now’.

"And that’s when something clicked in my brain: I have to do whatever is good for me. I feel that I’m healthier, but I don’t think I’m prettier thinner.”

"I’ve always known that I’m not Kim and I’m not Kourtney, I’ve always been OK with that," said Khloe.

"I probably thought I was prettier before I entered the spotlight because being compared to somebody else every day does sort of beat up your spirit and soul.

"But it’s made me stronger. I’ve gained another level of confidence.”

The 28-year-old was recently axed from the US X-Factor show. 

Khloé's basketball player husband Lamar Odom helps her focus on her health and fitness rather than her size.

“I don’t care what size I am, I care about how I look. If my jeans are tight and I have a little muffin top, then OK, I have to cut down on the carbs," she told Cosmo.

"I don’t expect to be a size 2 [a UK size 6] and nor do I want to be. I’m 5ft 10ins and I like being curvy, but I also like being toned."
