“It Was One Of Those Nights” Reese Witherspoon Talks About Her Arrest

Last week Reese Witherspoon and her hubby were pulled over and arrested for being drunk and disorderly (we’re still recovering from the shock to be honest). Today Reese went on telly in the States and addressed her “deeply embarrassing” incident.

PopSugar reports that Reese talked about her run-in with the law on Good Morning America earlier today. The actress was on the show to promote her new film, Mud.

Reese referred to the arrest as it being “one of those nights.” Oh Reese, we’re sure it was.

“We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not. We know better and we shouldn’t have done that,” said Reese.

And as for her crazy rant? Well it was because she saw her hubby in handcuffs.

“I saw him [the police officer] arresting my husband and I literally panicked. I told him I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things,” she added.

Reese also apologised to the police officer who arrested her  for her reaction.

“I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It’s just unacceptable,” said Reese.

“I’ve played a lawyer in a movie so many times I think I am a lawyer, and, clearly, I’m not a lawyer because I got arrested,” she added.

Reese is due to appear in court later this month.
