It’s official: Jessica Simpson is expecting a baby boy! Yes, the singer-turned-fashion designer has just found out that her daughter will have a little brother. D’aww.

According to celebrity gossip website RadarOnline.com Jessica and her fiance Eric Johnson are absolutely thrilled with the news and are already thinking of names.

“It’s Jessica’s dreamc ome true, she prayed she was having a boy,” said a source close to the Simpson family.

“What with everything going on in her personal life, and her problems with her father, this has given her something to smile about,” the source added.

Jessica found out the good news earlier this week after she attended a routine check-up. The doctor asked her if she wanted to know the sex of her baby and, the source says that she “screamed with joy” when she found out it was a boy.

“She was so happy that Maxwell is getting a little brother because that’s something she always wanted when she was growing up,” said the source.

“Jessica and Eric are so excited and have started going through names, but they haven’t settled on one just yet. It’s just a pity their favourite boys name went to their daughter first!” the source added.

Last month, Jessica took to twitter to show off her changing figure. The following picture was accompanied by the caption: “Bumpin’ and Proud!”
