Actress Claire Sweeney has called time on her relationship with Daniel Riley, it has been confirmed.
The former Brookside star and her fiancé are said to have gone their separate ways at the beginning of this year.
A spokesperson allegedly told OK! magazine that the couple, who were engaged for over a year, “parted company just after Christmas.” No reason for the split has been given.
Claire, who is 14 years older than Daniel, spoke previously to HELLO! about her reluctance to walk down the aisle and start a family.
She explained: “The reason I’ve never married or had children is because I take it very seriously and hadn’t met the right person.
“I’m a workaholic. I’ve had a great life and a fabulous career. It would take a very special man to make me stop and want to be with them. Daniel is that person. I was thrilled when he asked me to be his wife.”
Daniel and Claire are no longer together.
