Add us as a preferred source on Google »The official Love Island line-up was released yesterday, and many Irish fans were disappointed to see heavily rumoured contestant, Charleen Murphy, left out of the line-up.
The rumour mill was awash with claims that the Irish influencer was set to take part in this year's show, but Charleen was not named in the official line-up yesterday.
There is still one Irish contestant taking part, with GAA star Séan Fitzgerald confirmed to be taking part in the show.
Séan Fitzgerald, a 25-year-old primary school teacher from Barna, stepped away from Galway's football panel last week, sparking rumours he would appear on the popular reality show.
Speaking about his role on the show, the GAA star said: "I’m here for love but also here for drama. I won’t be getting involved in it, I might be mixing it!"
Fans were hugely disappointed when Charleen wasn't included in the line-up, but believe she could enter as a bombshell.
One wrote on TikTok, "Charleen would be a perfect bombshell tho!"
Another said, "No, she’s better being a bombshell; every single icon from Love Island was a bombshell: Molly Mae, Maura, Ekin-Su, etc."
Charleen has continued posting on her social channels despite the rumours, leading many to believe she is not taking part in this year's Love Island.
Before taking part in the show, contestants have to go through a mandatory isolation period. They give up their personal phones and stay in another villa before the show starts.
Many fans stressed that if Charleen was taking part, then she would not be posting the way she is online.
However, Love Island bombshells tend to enter the isolation period for just a few days before joining the show.
We'd love to see Charleen Murphy on the show, but we'll just have to tune in and see if the rumours come true.
Love Island returns Monday, 1st June at 9 pm on Virgin Media Play & Virgin Media Two.
