The 32-year-old, who plays John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, also reportedly wrote: “All out of sympathy… Nine lives don’t last.”
While it is not clear who exactly the tweets (which were both deleted later) were directed at, many believe he was taking aim at his now-former co-star.

Of course it has since emerged that Stephanie’s contract was terminated after numerous warnings regarding her behaviour.
