Earlier this week, Britney said that she wanted to sue her family.
Britney Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn is facing criticism following her reaction to Britney’s court testimony.
Many fans on social media felt that Jamie Lynn should have responded to her sister’s powerful statement, but she remained silent on the issue and disabled comments on her Instagram posts.
On Wednesday, Britney spoke about her family’s role in her conservatorship, which she described as “abusive”.
In her testimony, the singer said that every element of her personal and financial life was under control. She alleged that she was put on lithium against her wishes and was not allowed to have her IUD removed.
“Not only did my family not do a goddamn thing, my dad was all for it,” Britney said. “Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad.”
“I would honestly like to sue my family, to be totally honest with you,” she said. “I would also like to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of it being hush-hush secret to benefit all of them.”
She continued: “I want to be able to be heard on what they did to me by making me keep this in for so long, it is not good for my heart. I’ve been so angry and I cry every day. It concerns me, I’m told I’m not allowed to expose the people who did this to me.”

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who was her conservator until he stepped down temporarily in 2019, responded to his daughter’s statement through his lawyer, Vivian Thoreen.
Ms Thoreen said: “Mr Spears loves his daughter and misses her very much.”
Yesterday, Britney addressed the ongoing case on Instagram for the first time. In her post, she apologised to fans for “pretending” to be OK.
