Speaking on today's instalment of the panel show, Street-Porter said that she felt "enough" had been said about the incident.
She said:
"I was reading about it online and on social media and then it just came to a point with this girl where I thought, 'enough'. "What do you want? Do you want something dreadful to happen to her in a public place? You have to accept that young people make mistakes. During his exit interview, he said:
"It was a sign of affection... there was nothing in it. As it unravelled, as it became bigger and bigger, then it scared me. "We all know how something like that can stick on a man. I just wanted out. I felt I was going to be getting a call from the police for doing something untoward to a woman. And that's not me."
