The Change.org petition that has since appeared online makes several claims against Heard, and asks that she also be dropped from her upcoming project.
Heard and Depp married in 2015, with the Aquaman actor filing for divorce one year later.
Depp has since taken legal action against The Sun, who referred to him as a "wife beater", and lost. He has also sued Heard for defamation following an article she wrote for the Washington Post about sexual violence.
Depp has repeatedly denied violence against his ex-wife, but admitted to using drugs and "trashing" hotel rooms.
Heard’s former personal assistant has also accused Heard of "stealing" her sexual assault story and [twisting] it into her own story to benefit herself."Explore more on these topics:
