Mean Girls’ actor Jonathon Bennet has been ‘outed by accident’ by Dancing With The Stars judge Julianne Hough, during an interview with American network Extra.
Jonathon, who played main love interest Aaron Samuels in the iconic teen movie, is a contestant on the show, and when Hough was quizzed on the next season of DWTS she revealed more than expected.
Interviewed by Mario Lopez, Julianne reportedly said:
"He tweeted at me last year and said I had a nice butt, and I thought, 'Oh he's hitting on me—I should try to go on a date with him!'"
Hoping to lead the interview onto an on-show romance, Mario asked what happened, with Hough replying:
"He's gay - so I was like, ''That's not gonna work!'"
Julianne and Jonathon, who has never previously made a comment on his sexuality, have yet to comment on the interview.
