But it was compelling.
We hadn’t seen such a salty side to Kanye before, and the fact that it was all a misunderstanding about the letters “kk” made it too good to be true.
They have since buried the hatchet and had a “positive” conversation on the phone, but last night Kanye opened up about what set him off in the first place, and it was really nothing to do with his album title.
Speaking on The Neighbourhood, Kanye revealed that he is just sick of people being disrespectful about his wife, Kim Kardashian, and misinterpreted Wiz’s weed reference (kk) to be another jibe at her.
He said: “I just saw my wife’s initials and reacted because that’s MY family,” said Kanye. “People be thinking because my wife on TV or because she’s been in an SNL skit or whatever type of history – that it’s open season or something. Like ‘it’s okay, it’s in a meme’… No. That’s the mother of my kid, and I’m ‘Ye.”
He then revealed that they later “chopped it up and squashed it.”
We think that means they’re cool.
