She’s taking over.

Kate Garraway is set to take over from Piers Morgan as the host of ITV’s Life Stories, hosting three new episodes as part of their new line up.

The hour-long programme sees famous faces dive into their careers and personal lives, speaking about things they normally would not.

Speaking about her new role, Kate said: “I’ve always loved having the chance to talk to people, both on air and off.

“Everyone has a story to tell and the wonderful thing about this show is that you have the airtime to delve into the areas of guests’ lives that the viewers might not know about already.

“It’s also a chance to understand more about the bits we do already know about (both good and bad) and hear it in their own words.”

Also looking into her own personal life with her husband Derek, Kate is set to show her family’s struggle after her husband suffered from long Covid after being diagnosed early on in the pandemic.

Caring For Derek will see Derek’s return home and his struggle to navigate their new home life, with Kate taking over as his primary carer.

Kevin Lygo, managing director, Media and Entertainment at ITV, spoke wonder about the “remarkable” Kaste and her “equally resilient family” as he announced the line-up.

Line of Duty stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston are set to appear in separate thrillers on TV in the new line up, with the six part thriller Trigger Point coming to the channel.
