Kate Middleton criticised for ‘mistake’ during royal visit with Prince William

Kate Middleton has been criticised for a ‘mistake’ during the recent royal visit to Blackpool with Prince William.

Last week, Kate Middleton and Prince William travelled to Blackpool to find out more about new projects in the town.

After the visit, Kensington Palace released a statement explaining the reasoning behind the visit.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Blackpool to visit innovative projects focused on investment and regeneration, and to learn how the resort is leading the way in tackling some of the social and mental health problems faced by people in Britain today”.

The Duchess of Cambridge is very well-liked but she came in some criticism after this particular royal visit with one expert pointing out her choice of outfit on the day.

It’s believed that the forest green coat Kate was wearing is from designer brand Sportsmax and it cost in excess of £2,000, which works out to around €2,340 FYI.

According to The Express, radio hosts Mike Graham and Emily Andrews suggested that she could have worn something a little cheaper.

Emily said “the optics were not brilliant” considering the royal couple visited less fortunate areas of the town including Kirby Road where the realities of the housing problems are very obvious.

You can see the point but at the same time, it’s important to note that Kate would never have intentionally caused any upset. What do you think, should she have decided to wear something else?
