Kate Middleton and Prince William have nicknames for each other. Apparently.

It's a rather popular term.

Cathy Donohue

Babe.

It’s not exactly a unique moniker but that’s what the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, uses as an affectionate nickname when talking to her husband, Prince William. Apparently.

The royal couple appeared at the Chelsea Flower Show this week and while there, they had a chat with Charlie Albone, an Australian landscaper who also moonlights as a TV presenter.

According to The Daily Mail, Will was admiring a “Buxus plant” when Kate said “‘Babe, we’ve got those. We’ve got loads of those”.

Babe V Darling…

It seems that Will has a different nickname for his beloved and calls her “darling” with the International Business Times explaining that designer Margaret Knight imparted this information to reporters.

Designer Mick Conway also said that Kate referred to her husband as “darling” at one stage so I’m going to presume that “darling” is the preferred term of endearment.

So there you have it, they’re just like any other couple ( if you’re into nicknames but of course, not everyone is).
