We can't believe it's been so long.

Katherine Heigl has told how she's up for making a sequel to "one of her favourite projects", 27 Dresses - and we need it to happen. The movie, which also starred James Marsden, had all the makings of a really, really good rom-com. There’s plenty of witty comebacks, home decor #goals, a few exclamations of ‘you lied to me!’, a musical number and at least one good smooch. It followed the ever-loyal,  perennial bridesmaid Jane - who had literally been a bridesmaid 27 times (she kept all the dresses to prove it). After years of hiding her feelings for her boss, George, Jane gets blindsided when he proposes to her sister, Tess, after a whirlwind romance. Jane ends up agreeing to be her sister's wedding planner, which leads to her spending more and more time with the reporter covering the wedding, Kevin - whom she cynically dismisses due to her own broken heart. But after a few rom-com-worthy nights - including one that ends up with them belting out Bennie and the Jets on top of a bar - Jane begins to realise that Kevin may be what she's looking for after all. And ten years on from the movie's debut, Katherine Heigl revealed that she was up for making a sequel - with a slight twist. On what Jane would be up to now, she told InStyle: 

"I have this whole concept that I really want them to do a sequel about. I think that maybe it’s not 10 years later in their relationship, maybe it’s only 5 or 6 years, but she’s not getting pregnant. "She’s everybody’s godmother, but she doesn’t have her own. I so want to do that sequel. "I think it would be really sweet and charming and interesting. 27 Christenings!"

"It has been 10 whole years since I had the privilege of getting to be a part of one of my favorite projects 27 dresses! "At the time I was a 28 year old gal planning her own wedding and wearing Invisalign to correct my snaggle teeth for the wedding pics. "Now I am a 39 year old mother of three celebrating 10 years of marriage and letting my snaggle teeth make a comeback cause I ultimately liked them better that way.

"Good lord a hell of a lot can happen in 10 years! "Happy 10 years 27 dresses! "I had the time of my life being a part of your good old fashioned romantic frivolity and am so grateful to have had the experience, made the friends and kept the memories! #27dresses"
