After only a few days since she announced the birth of her second child, Kathryn Thomas has shared the most adorable pictures of her new addition on Instagram.
Sharing them to her story, the presenter introduced her new daughter Grace Anne McLoughlin to the world, starting with a snap of her baby bump to pictures moments after she was born.
“How it started. Getting ready to meet our girl. I brought Ellie’s hat from when she was delivered,” she wrote.
The new mum of two then followed up with a second snap of her husband Pádraig holding her belly and wrote: “the waiting game.”
Next, she posted more of a candid shot of herself holding her newborn moments after giving birth, showing a more precious side to family life.
“And in one magic moment life changes forever #Grace,” she wrote alongside her baby girl, who was wearing the same hat her older sister Ellie once wore.
Showing more, Kathryn posted a close up of her baby sleeping as well as Grace sleeping on her side and tucked up to her mum which read: “Squidgy lips.”
The presenter took to Instagram to announce the birth of her “gorgeous girl”, named Grace Anne McLoughlin.
Little Grace was born at 11.35am, weighing in at 8lbs 3oz.
“Everyone is great. Baby sleeping. Mama knackered,” Kathryn wrote alongside a black and white photo of tiny toes.
She then went on to thank the doctors, nurses and midwives at the Coombe, whose care she was “blown away” by.
“Nothing but incredible care, reassurance and even a bit of craic to keep you sane in those anxious moments… you are all wonderful,” she continued.
She also thanked the team at Merrion Fertility Clinic for helping to make the couple’s “dreams of family a reality.”
Kathryn and Pádraig are already parents to Ellie, born in 2018. The presenter is also step mum to Pádraig’s 25-year-old son Conor.
