“My hero, my idol, my da.”
Boyzone singer Keith Duffy has announced the passing of his father, Séan Duffy.
Taking to Instagram, Keith posted a number of pictures of his dad as well as a short tribute to him.
He wrote: “Séan Duffy 1945 – 2022
“Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are to announce the passing of our father/grandfather Séan.
“The most courageous and brave warrior we’ve ever known and probably will ever know.”
He added: “We already miss him so much.”
In the comments, a number of friends and fans shared their condolences.

His bandmate Ronan Keating wrote: “Sending all our love.”
Glenda Gilson commented: “And what a gentleman. RIP Sean. Thinking of you all and sending lots of love.”
Brian McFadden added: “What a fighter! What a man!”
In a separate story, Keith shared a photo of his father playing the guitar and wrote: “My hero, my idol, my da.”
