The gold medalist said that they got “the four seasons in one day” when they tied the knot over the weekend.
Irish Olympic boxer Kellie Harrington married her longterm partner Mandy Loughlin at The Old Spot in Dublin 4 over the weekend, and she has since shared more details about the “fantastic day”.
Chatting on TodayFM this morning, the gold medalist joked that she already feels “a little bit older” after tying the knot.
Kellie said: “It was absolutely amazing, it was a fantastic day. And you know the Irish weather, we got the four seasons in one day but we got a good bit of sunshine throughout the day.”
The boxer had delighted fans over the weekend as she shared a wedding photo of herself with Mandy and their three dogs.
She captioned it: “In a world where ye can be anything, just be yourself.”

The pair have been together since 2009, having first met when training at the same boxing club in Bray. Mandy also previously competed at a high level in the sport. They had announced their engagement in late 2021.
Also this week, Kellie and Mandy purchased their first home together.
The real estate agent DNG proudly sold a house in Fairview, Dublin to the pair.
On Facebook, they wrote: “Our senior negotiator Rachel Cunningham, DNG Fairview is delighted today to hand over the keys to the wonderful Kellie Harrington and wish her all the happiness in her new home.”
Kellie had previously spoken about how she was struggling to get a mortgage.
Earlier this year, she told The Independent: “I am trying to get a mortgage at the moment but it’s proving nearly impossible.
“It’s nearly made impossible for young people to get a foot on that property ladder. I think I’m nearly sorted but it’s been hard.”
