We all want our children to grow up knowing what a loving, respectful and – yes – even passionate relationship looks like.
However, while hugs and hand holding and kissing are one thing, straddling and finger-sucking and open-mouth French kissing might just be quite another for most people.
Kourtney Kardashian recently faced a bit of backlash from fans and followers over her very public displays of PDA with Travis Barker, but was quick to clap back.
In the latest episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kourtney and Travis are house-hunting, and, when sitting down for a moment, Kourtney seizes the opportunity to straddle her man – causing the couple's realtor to excuse himself and disappear, clearly feeling a little uncomfortable with the whole situation.
Remarking on the agent's clear discomfort, Kardashian said that people who have a problem with her and Barker's PDA are oversensitive.
“Oh my God, people were, like, pissed about the Disneyland video of me on you,” the mum-of-three tells Barker, referring to a video of the pair making out at the theme park. “They were like, ‘There’s kids,’” she says with an eye roll.
'Kissing and hugging is not a bad thing'
The couple, who got 'fake' married at a Las Vegas wedding chapel earlier this month (they did not register for a marriage licence before their ceremony), are certainly not strangers to public PDA, and have taken their love very public on social media, with each of them sharing countless images of themselves kissing and hugging (and then some) in various locations and levels of naked-ness.
“Kissing and hugging is not a bad thing,” the 43-year-old later adds in her confessional on the TV show.
“I'm actually grateful that my kids can see a loving, affectionate relationship, because they haven't seen that their whole lives.”
And it seems her beau agrees.
“I just think people have trouble understanding how two people can be so in love and affectionate because they're fucking miserable.”
