Kym Marsh has revealed that she feared death when a flight she was travelling on encountered difficulties last week.

The Coronation Street actress opened up about the fright in a column for OK! Magazine, explaining that the “terrifying near-death experience” took place when she was flying to the Isle Of Man with her family.

“During the flight, the plane suddenly – and petrifyingly – dropped, and it felt like it was falling out of the sky. I really thought my number was up!”

‘It started bouncing all over the place and we were being thrown around the sky. I’ve honestly never been so scared in my entire life.’

The plane had been caught in a jetstream and the family arrived at their destination safely but the star says she is a “really nervous flier” and always sits separately from three-year-old daughter Polly as she doesn’t “want her to see me potentially freak out!”.
