Louis Walsh defends Sharon’s ‘drunk’ behaviour on X Factor

What he said didn't really help.

Sharon Osbourne made an exciting return to the X Factor this year. However, after making several mistakes while the show was live, viewers were quick to point that out that it seemed as though she was drunk. She forget Saara Alto's name several times and got quite confused about other contestants. Louis has always been on Sharon's defence this season and made sure to stick up for her during Alan Carr's 12 stars of Christmas. When Alan jokes that the pair get drunk for the show, Louis insists 'we never drink before the show'. He then attempts to clear up those drunk rumours but has the audience in stitches.

''She's not drunk she's just high, she's just happy'' Louis proclaims.

The audience erupt in laughter which leads Louis to clear up what he meant with the help of Alan and the other panelists.

''High of life, high on life'' they quickly add.

We're not sure Louis attempt to clear Sharon's name really helped after all...
