Love Island's Dr. Alex George has seemingly gone Instagram official with his new girlfriend.
The 27-year-old was notoriously unlucky in love during his time in the ITV2 villa, but told his former housemates that he had a girlfriend during the Christmas reunion special.
And while he didn't divulge any more details at the time, he has now shared the first snap with his other half - and poked fun at his
Love Island stint in the caption.
The picture shows the two of them cosied up together, smiling at the camera.
He wrote underneath the photo: "The person I would like to couple up with is...."
The comments were flooded with congratulatory messages, wishing the pair a happy new year.
His former
Love Island co-stars - including Laura Anderson, Wes Nelson, and Rosie Williams - were also quick to send their well wishes to the couple.
"Can't wait to meet you," Samira Mighty added, while Zara McDermott asked him, "Double date soon?"
Alex's news comes after it was confirmed that the applications for
Love Island 2019 are now open.
The chosen Islanders will live in a villa in Majorca for a period of the summer in the hopes of finding love.
Last year over 60,000 people applied within the first 12 hours of the applications going live and so, ITV is expecting even more this year due to the success of the show.
