Love Island’s Jonny lashes out at fans by calling them ‘disillusioned idiots’

"It's obvious that it's gone too far"

Denise Curtin

It looks like more trouble in paradise.

Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell is calling people out for throwing rude comments at new girlfriend, Made In Chelsea star, Stephanie Pratt.

The comments came after Stephaine posted a photo of the two to mark their one month anniversary however captioned it “1 month with this #feminist”, which sparked major controversy.

Johnny, who was formally going out Camilla in the Love Island villa, together fought on TV about their feminism views on more than one occasion and Camilla fans were soon to jump to her rescue when new girlfriend Stephanie dropped THAT caption.

One fan said: “You snake, if that’s a dig at Camilla, you and Jonny deserve each other.”

While another said: “I do wish you all the best but don’t be so quick to judge Camilla. After all, you’ve been with him a month. You cannot know anyone in a month.”

The couple who have been travelling around the world, are currently in Bali to celebrate their anniversary and seem to be upset with the backlash; so much so that Jonny took to Instagram to defend his 31-year-old girlfriend and throw a few sharp digs at Love Island.

He said: “This girl is one of the kindest, sweetest, most genuine people I’ve ever met and it sucks that she’s having to take shit off some people because of dating me.”

He continued…

“Some disillusioned idiots think they know me because of watching 10 minutes a day of me on a highly edited TV show for 5 weeks” he said in reference to the popular TV series.

I really can’t wait to prove everyone wrong.. This girl is one of the kindest, sweetest, most genuine people I’ve ever met and it sucks that she’s having to take shit off some people because of dating me, down to some disillusioned idiots that think they know me because of watching 10 minutes a day of me on a highly edited TV show for 5 weeks. It’s all never really bothered me, and I found it all pretty funny in general because I’ve always thought that anyone dumb enough to believe everything they see on reality tv, doesn’t have an opinion worth worrying about, but when it starts to affect other people I care about then it’s obvious that it’s gone too far. So, my point being.. If you’re really the kind of person who has to hate on a stranger, then it’s your own life you should be worrying about. not mine. Rant over. Ciao ??

The Love Island star’s ex Camilla has yet to make any comment in reference to the remarks and seems to be laying low with new boyfriend and fellow Love Island co-star Jamie Jewitt.

Something tells us however, this is not the end of their social media spat.
