"After we filmed the final, I got taken into a room by this ITV press guy and he just ran through all the stories that had come out about me and I was like 'oh god'. "But you know, I wasn't completely naive, I knew when I went in I'd get a lot of stick for my previous jobs and obviously for having sex on TV and the fact that I had surgery even though I didn't really think that was a negative but yeah, I deal with it quite well now [negative press]."
"I'm not surprised... when you're living in the villa, it's a retreat and when you're out you've got this job to do and that job to do and it's all so overwhelming trying to navigate your way through it so, it's not really a shock."And Megan believes that the stresses and temptations of live post-villa mixed with bad time management are the reasons why things have ended in heartbreak for many of the Islanders.
"I think a lot of it is how you prioritise your time and what is a priority. I think me and Wes are really on the same page and obviously, our career and work are important but ultimately we went in there [Love Island] to find someone so as long as we're happy together that's the main thing for us."
And now, looking forward, Megan has big plans in the pipeline, she hopes to get her own edit with PrettyLittleThing moving forward as well as kick-starting her presenting career. 2019 is looking bright.Explore more on these topics:
