Newlywed Olivia Buckland has had an Instagram post banned for failing to make it a clear advert.

According to the BBC, the post from the 25-year-old Love Islander was removed by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), after it didn’t clearly specify that it was a sponsored post.

The post in question showed Olivia showcasing eyeshadows from brand W7 with the caption:

“Can’t wait to see what you guys create #BucksBeauty”.

Since, W7 (Warpaint Cosmetics) and Olivia, released a joint statement addressing the issue.

They said they believe the relationship was “sufficiently obvious” but, will make changes to their hashtags in the future. They also mentioned that the post in question wasn’t something they asked the LI star to do, however, due to their long-standing relationship, this is something they should have made clear.

ASA has told the star that all future posts must be “obviously identifiable”.

They also noted that they would “in effect restrict aspects of Ms Buckland’s control of her social media content”.
