Lucy Fallon has hinted she may return to Coronation Street – three weeks after announcing her exit from he soap.

The actress has played Bethany Platt for the last four years. She announced in early May that she would be leaving at the end of her contract in 2020.

Speaking to The Mirrorshe said that it felt like the right time to go and try new things – however, she wouldn’t rule out going back to Coronation Street.

She said:

“I will be sad but I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in the future, although I have no idea what’s going to happen, it’s quite scary.

“When I leave I’ll have been there for five years and I’ve never done anything else so I just want to try new things and do new things.

“But I’ll end up going back – I’ll be back. I owe everything to the show.

“Hopefully [I’ll be back]. We’ll see, but you never know, I might end up getting killed in a tram crash.”

I’m so thankful to Iain and everyone at Coronation Street, I owe everything to them and I will miss them greatly.”
